Ascension à Millau : nature, foire et grand air !

Want to make the most of the Ascension Day long weekend? Camping Saint-Martin welcomes you to Creissels, just outside Millau, for a long weekend filled with nature, exploration, and local activities.

Ascension Day weekend is the perfect opportunity to treat yourself to a few days off before summer. This year, Ascension Day falls on Thursday, May 14, 2026—the ideal time to enjoy a long weekend in Millau and explore the Aveyron region in the spring.

At Camping Saint-Martin in Creissels, you’ll stay just a few minutes from Millau, in a quiet, family-friendly setting. It’s the perfect time to come and unwind, enjoy nature, and explore the region’s must-see attractions: the Millau Viaduct, the Gorges du Tarn, the Larzac, the quaint villages, and the many hiking trails.

During this long weekend, Millau will also host its May 17 fair, known as the “Loue” fair. It will take place downtown, around Place du Mandarous and along the adjacent boulevards, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. A wonderful opportunity to stroll through town, soak up the local atmosphere, and experience a traditional Millau event.

On Sunday, May 17, a collectors’ fair is also scheduled in Millau, featuring the buying, selling, and trading of coins, postcards, stamps, books, model trains, and other collectibles.

Between outings in town, nature walks, and relaxing moments at the campground, the Ascension Day long weekend is a great opportunity to come and enjoy Millau and its surroundings.

Don’t forget to book your stay for the Ascension Day weekend.
